Since March 9, 2022, summer tickets have been available for purchase from SNCF-Connect, TER, and also directly on Tictactrip.
And TER PACA tickets are no exception! So take advantage now of the best travel deals at the lowest guaranteed prices.
Of course, the longer you wait, the more expensive your tickets are likely to become...
Note: you can book trips up to August 7 for the Sud PACA region.
Bad news for travelers and users of TER rail lines in the PACA region: ticket and pass prices are going up.
Train ticket prices will therefore rise by 2.82%, while pass prices are expected to increase by 4.5%!
Be aware, though, that these price rises will vary depending on the route, from 10 cents to 1 euro. For example, on the line between Aix-en-Provence and Marseille, the ticket price should increase by 20 cents.
This measure, voted on February 25, 2022 by the Region's standing committee, is expected to bring in an additional 2 to 2.5 million euros in revenue for the current year.
Further discussions are underway about a possible discontinuation of the ZOU! card, the region's discount card...
If your regional train arrives at least 5 minutes late, you can print a TER delay certificate.
To easily get your delay certificate, simply go to the TER website at this address. You then have 5 days from the date of your train's delay to do so.
Alternatively, go to the SNCF-Connect app, under the Certificates and Refunds tab, to get your delay certificate.
Were you checked during your journey and received a TER fine due to an invalid ticket?
To pay a TER fine, simply go to this website.
Planning to travel using TER PACA trains on an upcoming trip?
During a TER PACA strike or Sud TER train delays, TER Provence-Alpes-Côte d'Azur traffic information can really save your trip!
To easily find all the TER PACA train timetables, simply search for your journey directly on Tictactrip. All TER PACA ticket offers for your chosen date and time will then be shown to you. It's up to you to pick the solution that suits you best!
Otherwise, you always have the option of following the TER PACA Twitter account or going to the SNCF-Connect website to check which trains are running.
Today on TER trains, unfortunately it isn't possible to choose your seat. Indeed, there are no assigned or reserved seats.
This is also the case for other regional express train companies such as the TER AURA or the TER Normandie, for example!
In this context, one single rule applies if you want to choose your seat on board the train: first come, first served!
In addition to TER PACA discounts and special offers you can take advantage of, there are monthly or annual subscriptions that let you enjoy these discounts even further and travel continuously at the best price. Want to know more?
Of course, we've simplified the information to make things easy for you. Here are the various Sud TER subscriptions that might interest you:
ZOU! Annual: with an annual Zou subscription, you can enjoy unlimited travel on a TER route of your choice in the Sud region. You'll also get up to 75% off the standard fare.
This subscription is open to everyone, with no restrictions or conditions. Cancel whenever you like!
ZOU! Monthly: as with the annual Zou pass, you'll be able to travel unlimited on the TER train journey of your choice in the Provence-Alpes-Côte d'Azur region for 1 month. You'll also get up to 75% off the standard TER ticket fare.
Again, there are no conditions to subscribe to this pass.
ZOU! Weekly: this pass is exactly the same as the two previous ones but in a weekly version. You can travel unlimited on a TER route in the region and enjoy discounts of up to 75%.
ZOU Remote Work subscription: this subscription was designed during the health crisis for workers who only go to their workplace a few days a week.
They can therefore enjoy, on the route of their choice, 60% off a total of 20 trips or 70% off 30 trips. As this is a professional travel cost, this subscription can be covered up to 50% by your employer.
Work subscription: this pass is aimed at people who continue to commute to work using regional trains in this region. You'll be able to travel unlimited on a given route with up to -75% off, within a limit of 300km.
Pass Intégral: with this pass you'll have access to all public transport in the Aix-Marseille-Provence metropolitan area, unlimited and without spending more than the price of the pass!
As a bonus, you'll also have access to shuttle boats, airports and park-and-ride car parks. Quite a good deal, this pass, isn't it?!
You can choose the annual Pass Intégral at €68 per month, or the Monthly Pass Intégral at €73/month. As you'll have understood, the annual pass ties you in for 1 year.
Pass Sudazur: this pass is intended for people who want to travel in the Alpes-Maritimes. You'll have access to the entire urban and intercity transport network in the department. Likewise, you can use the Provence railway lines.
To enjoy this pass, you must buy it directly on the region's TER website. You'll have the choice between an annual pass at €74 per month or a monthly pass at €80 per month. You can pay upfront in full for the annual subscription.
ZOU Alternatif: with this type of offer, you can travel unlimited via TER trains or regional buses between two destinations. There are two types of Zou Alternatif passes: one for the route between Aubagne and Marseille-Saint-Charles, or one for the Vaucluse.
Here are the prices for the Vaucluse Alternatif Pass depending on your chosen route: Avignon – Orange at €66.20, Avignon – Carpentras at €62.80, Avignon – L'Isle-sur-la-Sorgue at €55.60, or finally Avignon – Cavaillon at €73.20.
ZOU TER + Bus: go for the 2-in-1! Enjoy unlimited travel with up to -75% off the standard fare for a route of your choice by regional bus or regional express train.
Once again, you can choose this subscription in an annual or monthly version. Prices vary depending on the route chosen.
There are various situations that may lead you to request a TER PACA refund. Whether it's a train delay, a train strike, or simply a personal unforeseen event preventing you from taking your train, we've listed below all the solutions available to you.
Firstly, note that most digital TER tickets and subscriptions are now refundable but not exchangeable up to 24 hours before your trip. However, a flat 10% deduction then applies.
To cancel your ticket and get your refund, simply go back to the purchase channel used for your ticket. For example, if you bought your ticket directly on Tictactrip, contact us for a quick refund!
Likewise, if you bought your TER ticket at the station, you'll need to go to a TER station to get your cancellation and refund.
Also, if you bought your Sud TER ticket by phone, you'll need to fill in this form to get your refund.
In the event of a transport strike in the region, subscribers and holders of dated tickets are entitled to request a refund.
If your TER train is delayed, there will be no compensation for the ticket price in this case.
If your TER train is cancelled, the ticket is not refundable either. However, you'll be able to take the next running train with your ticket. TER tickets can indeed be used once per day, regardless of the train's timing.
If you have opted for the Sud TER Reliability Guarantee, you can enjoy a refund of 30% of your monthly subscription fee in the event of 8 delays or cancellations during the said month.
Finally, if you've unfortunately had your TER ticket purchased at the station stolen, you won't be able to get any refund or replacement for this ticket. For tickets bought online, on Tictactrip for example, you'll be able to reprint your ticket or keep it in digital form on your smartphone.
For TER PACA trains, you can pay less for your trips! Yes, thank Zou, but not only that!
But what does that come from? That's a very good question! Here are all the answers about how the TER PACA Zou card works and other good travel deals by train in the Provence-Alpes-Côte d'Azur region.
All the discount cards and ZOU passes presented below can be digitally loaded onto your ZOU smart card. This is certainly a better option than keeping the cardboard discount card...
Indeed, there are different types of TER PACA discount cards and we've decided to give you a simplified summary below. ☺️
The Zou! 50-75% over 26 card: this card, aimed at people over 26, offers 50% off TER Sud tickets for your trips and 75% off a chosen route on Sud TER trains. What's more, up to 3 people travelling with you can enjoy half-price trips.
The card costs €30 and is valid for 1 year.
The Zou! 50-75% under 26 card: with this card aimed at young people under 26, you can enjoy the same discounts as the card above, namely 50% off TER Sud tickets for your trips and 75% off a chosen route on Sud TER trains.
What's more, your companions, up to 3 people, can enjoy half-price trips.
Finally, and this is where the real advantage lies: the card costs €15 and is valid for 1 year.
The Zou! Études Pass: the Zou student pass is aimed at students under 26 in the PACA region.
For a price of €70/year (or €90 after 31 August 2022) or €35 for large families or those on modest incomes, you'll be able to travel unlimited and free of charge on the TER PACA rail network as well as on regional buses.
The card is valid from 1 September to 31 August.
The Zou! Solidaire card: this Zou card is aimed at jobseekers, RSA (income support) recipients, employees on a reintegration contract, people receiving the Disabled Adult Allowance or Supplementary Invalidity Allowance, and finally recipients of the minimum old-age pension.
This card offers 90% off TER PACA on all trips via the regional PACA rail network. The card is valid for 1 year.
The national SNCF discount cards: yes, there are SNCF cards that can let you travel more cheaply in the PACA region, but not only there!
With the Carte Avantage SNCF, you can enjoy 25 to 50% off your TER trips in Provence-Alpes-Côte d'Azur.
With the Carte Liberté SNCF, which costs €399/year, you'll get **25% off** all your TER trips in the region and -50% towards another region. Not bad if you're a frequent interregional traveller!

Need to contact TER Provence-Alpes-Côte d'Azur? No worries! Here are the different ways for you to reach them.
To contact TER services by phone, simply call the toll-free number 0 800 11 40 23 between 7am and 8pm every day. The call is free.
Unfortunately, there is no TER PACA email address you can use to get in touch. You'll need to fill in a form instead, presented in the next section.
However, for any questions or complaints if you bought your TER ticket on the Tictactrip website, you can contact us by email via our customer service.
Indeed, there is a complaint form to get in touch with your region's TER services. Using this, you can state all your needs and get a quick response.
Oh yes, TER PACA is indeed present on social media!
On Facebook, here's the TER PACA page.
And on Twitter, here's the TER PACA account: @TERSUD_SNCF.
Just as there are no assigned seats on board TER trains, there are no conditions regarding luggage. Common sense is the rule here.
What we mean by that is that you need to be able to carry your own luggage yourself, and that it must not disturb other passengers' comfort.
Likewise, there is no dedicated luggage space. So your suitcases and bags will travel with you, at your feet.
That's also the advantage of TER trains in France: discovering our regions such as Brittany or Grand-Est without constraints!
What about your bike on TER PACA? Very good question!
On board these regional express trains, you can travel with your bike, free of charge. Be careful though: your bike must be placed in the designated spots.
To find these bike storage spots on board the trains, let yourself be guided by the pictograms displayed for this purpose on the train's exterior doors.
Note: bikes are not accepted on regional buses or on rail replacement buses for your train.
First of all, YES, your pet can travel with you on board Sud regional trains.
However, it unfortunately can't travel for free, and you'll need to buy it its own ticket (don't give it its own ticket to hold, that seems like a bad idea... 😈).
If your pet weighs less than 6kg and travels in a carrier, its mobile home in a bag or basket, its ticket will cost you €7.
If your pet weighs more than 6kg, you'll need to book it a specific ticket. This ticket will cost 50% of the full fare of a passenger ticket.
During your trip with your pet, it must absolutely:
Finally, note that guide dogs for the blind are of course welcome on board without needing to book them a ticket. Upon presentation of proof, of course.
Today, Tictactrip is officially an authorised distributor of TER tickets in the PACA region. You can therefore already book your tickets for your trips on this transport network.
This is even better news for you, as you'll be able to compare and, in particular, combine TER offers in the PACA region with all the other means of transport already integrated on Tictactrip.
So you'll be able to find a combination of a Flixbus and a TER PACA, or even a Ouigo TGV with a Sud regional express train! Good news, isn't it?
ZOU trains are perfectly suited to the needs of people with reduced mobility. So there's nothing to worry about, you'll be able to travel with ease.
There are two specific services to help you get around as easily as possible:
The Accès Plus service: lets you prepare and organize your trip as well as possible, and lets you book your ticket and reserve the assistance and accompaniment service adapted to your needs on the day of travel.
Use this service if you have connecting journeys between your TER trip and national and/or international trains.
Here is the link to access this service: https://www.ter.sncf.com/sud-provence-alpes-cote-d-azur/gares/services/acces-ter-sud.
The Accès TER service: this is the same service as Accès Plus but dedicated solely to your TER journeys in the SUD region.
Here is the link to this service: https://www.ter.sncf.com/sud-provence-alpes-cote-d-azur/gares/services/acces-ter-sud.
Having a problem with your trip? In that case you can contact the TER Accessibility Emergency Line directly:
Finally, note that guide dogs are welcome on board TER trains and do not require an additional ticket to travel.
On the bridge of Avignon... 🎵
Yes, Avignon is a top destination to reach using the Sud TER trains. Plus, your trip shouldn't cost you much!
And it's all available directly on Tictactrip so you can take advantage of it!
Want 3 good reasons to discover Avignon?
Wondering where to travel in Provence-Alpes-Côte d'Azur?
Nothing simpler: head off to discover the Phocaean city for your next trip. Plus, the city of Marseille is very well connected to the various national transport networks.
So it will be easy for you to compare and, above all, combine Ouigo or inOui TGV trains with TER trains in the PACA region to get to Marseille. Otherwise, you also have the option of buses and TER trains for an affordable trip to Marseille.
But what is there to do in Marseille and why is it such a top destination?
Simply because it's France's 2nd largest city, and life is good in Marseille between the sunshine, the laid-back southern mood and the Mediterranean Sea... We won't say any more 😉
Life is good in Nice between the sunshine, the beach, the Promenade des Anglais and drinks on a terrace... What a pleasure!
But that's not all — in Nice you'll also get the chance to discover the Matisse Museum or the Marc Chagall Museum. Plenty to inspire you, whatever your interests or profession.
And the cherry on top: easy access by public transport. Yes, Nice is very well served, with no fewer than 4 different stations!
So you'll have no trouble travelling to and from Nice by TER train, Flixbus, Ouigo TGV, or by combining these different modes of transport directly on Tictactrip!
The possibilities are yours to explore!

Sud TER trains, also called TER PACA trains, run in the Provence-Alpes-Côte d'Azur region.
(PS: Not to be confused with the Occitanie TER ;) )!
These regional express trains in Provence-Alpes-Côte d'Azur are also known as Sud TER trains of Provence-Alpes-Côte d'Azur.
The Provence-Alpes-Côte d'Azur TER, abbreviated TER PACA, was launched in 1986. Later, in September
This is a new brand that unifies all the region's transport networks. This brand comes with new colours for the TER PACA regional trains as well as the PACA regional buses.
With these TER PACA trains, it's very easy to connect coastal destinations with those further inland in the Provence-Alpes-Côte d'Azur region.
In figures, the TER Sud PACA network covers 1,008 km with an average of 4,500 trains running each week.
In December 2021, TER PACA trains recorded the following results:
More broadly, TER PACA had one of the lowest punctuality rates of all regions in December 2021, at 89.6%.
But is that really so important? When we travel in the PACA region, it's usually for pleasure, isn't it?
And if you've had enough of the PACA region, discover other regions of France with the TER Bourgogne Franche-Comté or the TER Nouvelle Aquitaine.
Information to take with a smile and some sunshine, then!
