News from the Nouvelle-Aquitaine company

Nouvelle-Aquitaine takes action to become a leading sustainable tourism destination! 🌍🌿

En savoir plus

🚆 In line with the national strategy of the Destination France plan, Nouvelle-Aquitaine is strengthening its commitment to becoming a model region in sustainable tourism. Drawing inspiration from the Occitanie Rail Tour initiative, the region is taking a decisive step by launching an ambitious offer of 25 "low-carbon" trips, reflecting the expectations of environmentally conscious travelers.

These innovative trips, entirely accessible by public transport, promote a "slow tourism" approach, highlighting soft mobility such as train, bike or hiking. They favor partnerships with local providers committed to eco-responsible practices, particularly through environmentally friendly sourcing and biodiversity initiatives.

This new range of trips mainly targets French customers, whether regional or national, meeting travelers' varied needs. It comes in two formats: "turnkey" trips, either guided or self-guided, designed to offer optimal flexibility and personalization. These products are developed in collaboration with leading adventure travel partners, including Allibert Trekking, Terres d'Aventure, and Chamina Voyages, well-known brands of the Voyageurs du Monde group.

Christelle Chassagne, president of the Nouvelle-Aquitaine Regional Tourism Committee (CRT), notes: "Tour operators have managed to transform existing trips by integrating even more environmentally friendly practices, while offering new experiences suited to the low-carbon approach." This strategy reflects the region's ambition to combine tourist appeal with the preservation of its natural heritage.

With these initiatives, Nouvelle-Aquitaine affirms its position as a committed and visionary region, offering travelers unique opportunities to discover its landscapes while reducing their carbon footprint. Each trip becomes a concrete way to contribute to preserving this region's exceptional riches.

Take part in this sustainable tourism revolution by choosing a "low-carbon" trip with Tictactrip. Enjoy an enriching, environmentally friendly travel experience while exploring the authentic beauty of Nouvelle-Aquitaine. 🌿🌞
