Several types of tickets are available for sale for an Intercités train.

Note: the TGV Intercités doesn't exist! Contrary to what one might think, Intercités trains are not TGVs, even though they offer fast and efficient journeys on many lines.

For example, for an Intercités journey between Paris and Orléans, the 1st class price will be higher than 2nd class. We also recommend checking whether your SNCF discount card is valid on Intercités lines so you can benefit from any advantages.
