🚄 Looking for the best seat on board a Ouigo train?

Between comfort, peace and quiet, accessibility and power sockets, choosing the right Ouigo seat can make all the difference for a successful journey.

But do you really know the different types of Ouigo seats, their features, and the options available when booking?

On this page, we help you understand everything you need to book your Ouigo ticket with complete peace of mind.

🛋️ Ouigo Seat Comfort in 2025

Ouigo trains are designed to offer affordable travel, with simple but adequate comfort for short to medium-length journeys.

  • Standard seats: firm padding, limited recline, but decent legroom.
  • Solo seats (€7 optional): located on the lower level, offering more peace and quiet, with no direct neighbour.
  • Duo, Carré, Triplette: available on the upper level, perfect for travelling as a couple, in a group or as a family.

💡 Tip: For more peace and quiet, the Solo seat remains the most popular.

🔌 Power Sockets on Board: Not for Everyone

On Ouigo Grande Vitesse, not all seats are fitted with power sockets.

If you need to charge your phone or laptop, remember to select the "seat with socket" option when booking (€3 supplement).

Power sockets are mainly located on the upper level, depending on the train. This option is in high demand, so don't wait to book it.

♿ Accessibility: which seat should you choose if you have specific needs?

  • Ouigo Grande Vitesse: some seats are adapted for passengers with reduced mobility (PMR): wheelchair access, transfer seats, accessible toilets.
  • Ouigo Train Classique: little to no PMR equipment on board. Best avoided if you need accessibility.

👉 Tip: always choose a Ouigo Grande Vitesse journey if you have a disability. And contact customer service beforehand if needed.
