But above all, before buying a Flixbus ticket, it is important to start by checking Flixbus timetables and fares, destinations, as well as departure and arrival stations.

And if you still have other questions before setting off on your journey with Flixbus, we certainly have the answers:

The Different Types of Flixbus Seats?

On board Flixbus buses you'll have a choice of classic seats.

Table seats, located on the lower deck of our double-decker buses, are perfect for playing cards, working or studying during your journey.

If you choose a Panorama seat, located at the front of our buses, you'll enjoy a breathtaking view during your journey.

Finally, by booking an extra seat next to yours, you'll get more space for optimal comfort.

To sum up, you have:

  • The classic Flixbus seat: you can choose a window or aisle seat. You'll automatically be seated next to your travel companions!
  • The Flixbus table: The ideal spot for group entertainment, working or eating.
  • The Flixbus Panorama seat: these are the "royal" seats with a panoramic view during your journey.
  • The Flixbus Comfort seat: with more room for your legs. Great if you're tall!

  • Extra Flixbus seat: you can book the seat next to yours during your bus journeys. It's extra space for your comfort. Good to know!

Choosing Your Flixbus Seat

First of all, note that this option isn't available on all Flixbus buses. You'll need to check whether it's available for your journey.

Here's how to choose your seat on board the Flixbus bus:

  1. If this option is available for your journey, you'll be able to select a seat during the booking process.
  2. To start, click on the "Seat booking" option.
  3. Look at the seating plan and choose your preferred seat. Seats marked with an "X" cannot be booked.
  4. Booking costs vary depending on the seat type and journey length. You can check the booking fees here.
  5. Continue with your booking; your seat number will be shown on your confirmation.
  6. On board the bus, your seat number will be displayed in dark grey at eye level, along the luggage compartment.

What Are the Fees for Choosing a Flixbus Seat?

When booking your journey, you have the option to select your seat. If you don't choose a seat, one will be assigned automatically or on a "first come, first served" basis.

For groups, to be sure of sitting together, it's crucial to book seats at the same time, as otherwise seats together aren't guaranteed.

Fees and seat availability vary depending on the route, the line, the seat category (aisle, window, row or table) and the booking date.

The booking fee for a specific Flixbus seat ranges from €1,49 to €13,98. This depends on the route, demand and many other factors. So remember to book quickly!

How Do I Know Where My Seat Is on the Bus?

Depending on the route, some seats or rows may not be available for booking. What's more, on some of our buses, it isn't possible to book a seat in advance.

If you've booked a specific seat, your seat number will be shown on your ticket. On buses where seats can be reserved, the numbers are displayed at eye level, along the luggage compartments.

If your ticket shows a seat number even though you didn't make a specific booking, please sit in that seat.

If your ticket doesn't have a seat number and you haven't booked a specific seat, you can choose any free seat marked with a green sticker.

To get the seat of your choice, it's best to board the bus as soon as possible. Passengers with reduced mobility will have priority.

Are There Power Sockets on Flixbus Buses?

Yes! On board Flixbus buses, which are used for long journeys, power sockets are provided.

Indicator lights on the bus show their locations.

Otherwise, you can always ask the driver to point them out to you.

Flixbus WiFi

And it's another big yes! Flixbus buses are equipped with 4G-speed WiFi. In other words, you'll have hassle-free internet access during your bus journey.

Good news, right?

How Many Seats Are There on a Flixbus Bus?

As a general rule, Flixbus buses can seat between 50 and 63 passengers.

That's because room needs to be kept for toilets on the bus, and above all to ensure passenger comfort.

♿️ Access for Passengers with Reduced Mobility on Flixbus

Flixbus booking for passengers with reduced mobility: The first option is fairly simple: you can contact Flixbus and let them know about your situation so they can take the necessary steps for your wellbeing on board the bus.

Do bear in mind, though, that this service has a few requirements: you must contact them 36h before your journey at +33 (1) 763 60 412 to declare your folding wheelchair, guide dog or travel companion.

This requirement means you can't contact them for a last-minute bus, for example.

You'll find all the conditions relating to reduced mobility, as well as assistance numbers, on the Flixbus reduced mobility page.

Important: you must bring your disability card specifying your need for assistance when boarding your Flixbus.
