What's great about Flexibus (Flixbus, you're used to it now) is that you can cancel or change a Flexibus booking up to 15 minutes before departure.
However, the Flexibus refund will be issued as Flixibus vouchers and there is a €1 deduction from the purchase price. It's better than nothing, considering many companies don't refund anything at all...
On the other hand, you can freely update the passenger information from the booking site, and that's good news! This will save you from having to buy another ticket over the smallest mistake.
To change the date of your trip, however, you'll need to cancel your ticket.
You'll then receive a Flixibus voucher and can book your new trip.
Flexibus is working on a simpler system, but it's not ready yet.
To be sure of boarding your Flexibus bus, remember to arrive at least 15 minutes before departure.
Yes indeed, Flexibus is proud of its buses' punctuality and doesn't want that to change. We still recommend arriving a little before those famous 15 minutes, you never know what might happen... You wouldn't want the Flexibus driver to leave without you!
No need to stress about validating your tickets. Just show your booking to the Flexibus driver and you're all set. A quick tip: bring an ID (identity card, passport) anyway, just in case!
With Flexibus (that's Flixbus, in case you were wondering), you won't be missing a thing! On all Flexibus buses, you'll get free access (included in the ticket price) to:
On top of all these amenities, drinks and snacks are also available for purchase to brighten up your trip. There's no denying it, Flexibus has gone all out to give you a pleasant journey.
By the way, if you'd like an even more comfortable ride, we recommend the Panorama seat option for €2.99! These are the best seats, on double-decker buses.
One last thing: for safety reasons, don't forget to fasten your seatbelt.
On certain routes, Flexibus (or Flixbus, whichever you prefer) lets you choose your seat for a small extra fee! For €1.49, no more haggling with other passengers.
In most cases, however, the Flexibus bus company doesn't give you the option to choose your seat.
Seating is therefore free, so you'll need to arrive early if you want to pick your favourite spot (which is why it's worth arriving well before the required 15 minutes).
Except for guide or assistance dogs, Flexibus does not allow animals on board its buses.
The company loves pets, but to preserve peace and quiet for everyone, they're not welcome on board.
The only exception: you can carry your cat or dog in a travel bag, provided it hasn't overindulged during the Christmas holidays.
In other words, Flexibus does not allow animals weighing more than 5kg. For smaller ones, there's no restriction as long as they don't disturb everyone else's journey.
Unfortunately, Flexibus doesn't currently have a loyalty programme. That said, since Flexibus ticket prices are already quite low, it's not too big a deal. :)
However, there used to be an InterFlix pass at €99 that let you book 5 tickets across the entire European Flixbus network, to be used within 3 months.
Unfortunately, this pass has been discontinued and is no longer offered by Flixbus for the time being. Will it come back in the future? Who knows!
And if you're a loyal Tictactrip user, you already know that by combining a Flexibus bus with a train or another bus, you'll get access to the most responsible and affordable trips on the market!
With the Flexibus bus company, you can bring one piece of hand luggage (for example, a backpack or a small musical instrument) and two checked bags.
If you want to bring a third suitcase along (it can happen during sales season), you'll need to register it with Flexibus at least 48 hours in advance.
Unfortunately, you'll have to pay an extra fee of €3.99 per bag. Adding this extra luggage can be done directly through the Flexibus app or website.
Don't forget to label your luggage too. It would be a shame to end up in Barcelona without your swimsuit.
As for bulkier items, such as a bike, a stroller, a large musical instrument, or any other oversized luggage, you must also contact Flexibus at least 48 hours in advance.
All the phone numbers are available here.
At Flexibus 2022, you're only offered one type of ticket!
There's no first or second class like on SNCF or Eurostar trains. Everyone travels under the same conditions (excluding optional extras, of course).
So when you pay for your Flexibus bus ticket, all you need to do is enter your first and last name and you're done (you will of course have to pay, no bus company offers free tickets just yet ^^)!
On top of that, Flexibus (or Flixbus) lets you choose between a paper ticket or an e-ticket directly on your smartphone.
No more printer hassles, you can travel worry-free!
If you're planning to travel in a wheelchair, remember to contact Flexibus customer service 7 to 14 days before your departure.
Agents are available to help direct you to accessible buses. If your wheelchair is foldable, it can be transported free of charge in the bus's luggage hold.
If you need a companion or an assistance dog, they can travel with you on board free of charge.
You'll find the contact numbers to help you here: Contact Flexibus.
Please make sure to notify them at least 36 hours in advance at +33 (1) 763 60 412 and provide proof of documentation upon departure.
If any of your questions remain unanswered, here's how to contact Flexibus.
First of all, you'll find plenty of information on their website.
Still can't find the information you need?
You can also contact the Flexibus team via this form or by phone at +33 (0)1 76 36 04 12 (costs depend on your operator).
You can also reach them on their Facebook page if you prefer the responsiveness of social media community managers.
Have a good trip!

In reality, Flexibus or Flixibus are misnomers for the company Flixbus. Commonly, it's not called Flexibus but indeed Flixbus, so now you know...
Founded in 2013 in Germany, the Flexibus (or rather Flixbus) bus company, specializing in "long-distance" routes, is one of the most widely used bus companies in France and Europe.
With very attractive Flexibus tickets starting at €1, the Flexibus coach operator lets you connect to Europe's most beautiful cities, with over 1,000 destinations in 20 European countries.
The coach company arrived in France in 2015, following the enactment of the Macron Law.
This law allows passengers to be freely transported by coach and thus permits cabotage (short-distance trips). More information on our blog on the page about Macron buses!
To become the company it is today, Flexibus acquired MeinFernBus, certain operations of Megabus, Postbus, Eurolines and Isilines.
All these bus company acquisitions allowed it to expand across the entire European territory. Today, Flixbus is the only major player in bus travel alongside BlaBlaCar Bus.
So, like many passengers, dive into the adventure and set off to explore France and Europe with Flexibus buses.
In France, Flexibus serves dozens of cities such as Paris, Lille, Nantes, Bordeaux and Marseille. In fact, the company's first Flexibus route was Paris - Clermont Ferrand.
Flexibus (aka Flixbus) doesn't just offer you a bus journey but a true experience thanks to quality services.
What's more, Flexibus isn't just buses: there are also Flixtrain trains and Flixcar carpool trips!
