Tictactrip support (FAQ)

First of all, you should know that sending SMS is not a common practice as it can seem intrusive to some travelers. Discover right now in which cases you could receive a confirmation SMS and by which companies!
At Tictactrip, we believe it's not necessary to send you a confirmation SMS for your trip. In fact, we prefer to send you all the information related to your trip by email. This allows you not to be disturbed by an SMS.
That's where you wonder why we ask you (optionally) for your phone number when you make your reservation?
The answer is simple, to help you as quickly as possible in case of any problem related to your booking!
Otherwise, at some transport companies like SNCF, you may receive an SMS confirmation of your trip.
As we mentioned above, at SNCF, it is sometimes possible to receive an SMS concerning your train journey. But for this, you must meet certain conditions:
Have purchased an SNCF e-ticket for train travel.
Have booked your ticket before 12:00 the day before the train's departure.
SNCF must be in possession of your phone number. This is possible if you are part of the Voyageur Programme for example.
If you meet all these conditions, SNCF should send you an SMS confirming your journey, the day before your trip. This SMS will contain your file reference, your train number and your seat assignment on board.
Other cases can result in an SMS being sent, such as during intense strike periods with many train cancellations, to keep you informed.
At Eurostar too, these SMS sends are possible if you accept them at the time of booking. These sends mainly take place in the event of an issue related to your train journey.
Here are the situations in which you could receive an Eurostar SMS:
To track traffic in real time,
The cancellation of a Eurostar train,
The delay of a Eurostar train,
For the procedure to follow in the event of a disruption to your journey resulting in compensation.
Receiving an SMS with information about your journey is very practical! You will be directly aware of any traffic disruptions, you will receive a reminder of your seat on board as well as all the information you need to travel peacefully.
Since the merger of Thalys with Eurostar, these journeys are operated by Eurostar: to receive these SMS, you just need to complete your phone number at the time of your booking. And if you are already a member of the Club Eurostar loyalty program, your number is already registered.
With Flixbus too, it will be possible for you to receive an SMS regarding your trip. You will first need to provide your phone number when making your reservation.
Then you can receive an SMS in case of disruption, delay or cancellation of your bus journey.
