Tictactrip support (FAQ)
Today it is common to be confused about whether or not you need to print your train and bus ticket before your departure. But this should not be a hindrance or a source of stress for your trip, in any way! This is why we are going to give you all the necessary information for your trip to go smoothly and in particular whether or not you need to print your transport ticket.

The printed ticket is the "old school" model of transport ticket but still proves itself today! Indeed, it has been used for years and years (even decades) and is still current. This is proof that it is unlikely to disappear anytime soon. And yet! Today, as debates increasingly focus on ways to preserve the planet, our massive use of paper appears increasingly harmful and replaceable. Perhaps the printed ticket will eventually end up in the trash in favor of the e-ticket, who knows?! The paper ticket can be lost, but if you're not scatterbrained, there's no reason to lose it. It's a "safety" to have it on you for your journey!
The dematerialized ticket, which you can obtain very simply on your smartphone, is a revolution of the transport ticket these days. It precisely avoids the printing of paper tickets that end up polluting. Moreover, our current generations tend to have their smartphone attached to them. No chance of forgetting your ticket as a result! The only risk that could remain is a battery failure on your mobile phone... But fortunately, outlets are provided at the station most of the time. So 0 reason not to have your e-ticket! The other advantage of the e-ticket is that it doesn't need to be validated as it does for the paper ticket. It's a small time saving useful for people in a hurry.
The answer is NO, it is no longer necessary today to have your ticket in paper format, most of the time. Indeed, some companies may not have updated to modern standards for all their routes... To find out their policy on printing paper tickets, we invite you to visit the pages of our partner companies where you will find all the necessary information:
However, make sure you have your ticket in at least one form: e-ticket or paper ticket. Also, if you are the anxious type, nothing prevents you from having it in both forms. At Tictactrip however, we favour the e-ticket which is much more environmentally responsible.
Finally, you will receive your tickets by email once booked. You will then have the choice to save them on your smartphone and/or print them directly in paper form. The choice is yours!
We hope we have informed you as best as possible and we wish you a pleasant trip.
