Wow. It's new, but actually it's all the same, the region has created its brand Car Région Savoie. The shuttles are still sold by Tictactrip and Altibus.

As of now, no permanent active promotional code is displayed on the official Altibus website. There is also no promo code valid year-round.

By transporting several travellers from stations and airports to mountain resorts, Altibus helps reduce the number of private vehicles on the road. Private cars account for a significant share of emissions linked to resort stays.

Although shuttles remain mostly combustion-powered, they are still significantly more virtuous than solo driving for reaching alpine resorts.

Altibus does not offer seat selection when booking its shuttles to ski resorts.

Your ticket guarantees a seat on the bus, but without an assigned seat number. Seats are taken freely on boarding.

To optimise your comfort (front seat, window side, fewer vibrations…), it's advisable to arrive early at the departure point, especially during peak season from stations and airports.

The Altibus app also lets you track your shuttle in real time and manage your e-tickets directly from your smartphone.

Altibus provides access for people with reduced mobility (PRM) on most of its routes, subject to prior arrangement.

It is essential to book assistance at least 24 hours before departure by phone to check the feasibility of the trip and the availability of a suitable vehicle.

Travellers must be self-sufficient. No medical assistance service is provided and staff are not trained in specialised assistance.

Limitations to be aware of:

• No PRM access from Lyon and Geneva airports (except for the connection to Alpe d'Huez).
• Aime station is not accessible; an alternative solution may be offered from Moûtiers.
• On some Cars Région Savoie tourist routes (Saturdays only), specific vehicles are available on request 7 days in advance by calling +33 (0)4 8000 7000.

Travel rules for unaccompanied minors with Altibus are more relaxed than with some rail companies.

Altibus allows unaccompanied minors with no minimum age requirement, provided they have a valid ticket and valid identification.

Specific policy: the child is treated as an adult passenger and remains the full responsibility of their parents or legal guardians. Altibus offers no dedicated escort service for minors travelling alone.

For journeys passing through Geneva (Switzerland), a written parental authorisation is mandatory, in accordance with customs requirements.

Required documents:

• Valid identification (national ID card or passport).
• A ticket in the child's name (child fare depending on the route, a ticket is required even for babies).
• If leaving the country without a parent: a parental authorisation to leave the territory (Cerfa form) signed by a holder of parental authority, along with a copy of their ID.

Note that Altibus does not provide child seats or booster seats on board the shuttles. It is therefore up to parents to ensure the child is able to travel independently. It is recommended to check the specific conditions for your route before booking.

Since these are shuttles running short trips, on-board services on Altibus buses are limited.

Furthermore, since Altibus works with more than 30 different carriers, the availability of these services varies by route and operator. For example, an Altibus Geneva airport shuttle may offer Wi-Fi, while an Altibus Peisey-Vallandry shuttle may not.

It is therefore advisable to plan ahead, as your bus may not have power outlets, catering, Wi-Fi, or even toilets.

Altibus' baggage policy depends on your booking. Depending on the coach company you are travelling with, extra fees may apply.

If you are travelling with a bicycle, make sure to indicate this when booking or contact Altibus customer service after your purchase to avoid any inconvenience.

Altibus customer service is based in Savoie. To avoid waiting, it is advisable to call outside peak times, particularly during school holidays.

Pets are allowed on board Altibus shuttles, subject to certain conditions related to their size, category and the type of route.

Small animals (approximately 5 to 10 kg maximum depending on the route): they generally travel free of charge, one animal per passenger. They must be carried on the owner's lap, in a clean, suitable closed basket or cage, without disturbing other passengers.

Dogs over 10 kg or not in a carrier: they must be kept on a leash, wear a muzzle for the entire journey and are not allowed on the seats. A half-price or youth (under 26) ticket is generally required.

Guide dogs and assistance dogs: they are accepted free of charge on board, with no carrier required, on presentation of proof (disability card or Mobility Inclusion card).

Prohibited animals:

• Category 1 and 2 dogs (pit bull type, Rottweiler, etc.).
• Exotic or dangerous animals (snakes, spiders, etc.).
• Some specific services may also refuse animals (e.g. certain international routes).

The owner remains fully responsible for their animal during the journey. It may be refused boarding in the event of nuisance, danger or non-compliance with transport conditions. It is recommended to check the specific general conditions for your route before booking.

For a stress-free trip, we recommend arriving at least 30 minutes before your Altibus shuttle departs. This will let you settle in calmly and avoid any last-minute stress.

Also remember your Altibus ticket! It may seem obvious, but it's best to have it on hand. We recommend downloading it to your smartphone or printing it in advance.

If you are travelling with Altibus, particularly on the Moûtiers line, an ID check may be carried out. Make sure you have your documents with you (ID card, driving licence or passport), as this could be useful.

Don't forget: labelling your luggage is mandatory.

Finally, if you have trouble finding your bus in an SNCF station car park or at a ski resort served by Altibus, don't hesitate to ask SNCF staff or the Altibus teams on site.

An unexpected change? Need to change the day or time of your ticket? No problem! If you bought it from Tictactrip, everything happens in your customer account; otherwise, simply enter your ticket number and name on this page.
