Inoui
🚨 As well as being a responsible traveller who gets around by TGV, are you also a cyclist? Let us help you!
Can I bring my bike on board the TGV Inoui? Do I need to book a space for my bike? How much does it cost to transport a bike on the TGV Inoui? Does my bike need to be dismantled?
In short, we're here to make sure your journey with TGV Inoui is as cool and relaxed as possible.
But most importantly, before buying a TGV Inoui ticket, remember to check the TGV Inoui timetables and fares, the destinations, and the departure and arrival stations.
And if you still have questions before setting off on a TGV Inoui train journey, we're sure to have the answers:
When you buy your train ticket, you need to book a space for your bike. The fee is €10 per bike per journey.
You must therefore make sure to book a space for your bike at the same time as buying your train ticket.
As a result, cyclists must make separate bookings if travelling with non-cyclists, as seats cannot be assigned together on the same booking.
If you can't find any space available for your bike, this means that the chosen TGV Inoui train has no reserved bike space, or that these spaces are already full.
In this case, you have the option of dismantling your bike and storing it in a cover, which is free of charge and doesn't require advance booking.
If you're travelling with a bike that isn't dismantled or folded, each passenger can carry one labelled item of luggage with maximum dimensions of 70 x 90 x 50 cm (suitcase, large backpack, hiking bag, sports bag), one labelled double bike pannier, and one labelled piece of hand luggage with maximum dimensions of 40 x 30 x 15 cm (backpack, tote bag, laptop bag).
If your bike is folded or dismantled and stored in a labelled cover, each passenger can carry one folded or dismantled bike in a labelled cover with maximum dimensions of 90 x 130 cm, one labelled double bike pannier, and one labelled piece of hand luggage with maximum dimensions of 40 x 30 x 15 cm (backpack, tote bag, laptop bag).
If your bike is dismantlable, it must be placed in a labelled cover before accessing the platforms. If your bike is foldable, you can carry it by hand and fold it near your carriage.
Not all bikes are allowed on board TGV Inoui trains.
Here is the list of prohibited bikes:
Your bike must be stored in a reserved space on board, with a seat assigned nearby for your comfort.
