The all-comfort journey with IDTGV

Good news for animal lovers! Your little companion weighing under 6 kg can travel for a small fee of €7.

For animals weighing more than 6 kg, the fee is 50% of the price of a 2nd class ticket.

Good news for those travelling at mealtimes: a catering service was offered on every iDTGV train, now renamed inOUI trains.

If you like to work on the train, you'll also find power sockets on the newer trains. No risk of running out of battery!

These services, now available throughout the whole train, have replaced the IDZAP tickets. The concept was to offer a space with a friendly atmosphere, perfect for working or relaxing. Now with inOUI, this is available in every seat!

When selecting options and services, all you had to do was tick the box for passengers with reduced mobility. You would then be given a courteous welcome at the station and assistance boarding the train. Still, remember to notify SNCF at least 48 hours before your departure by following this link, to make sure you're taken care of on the day!

On iDTGV inOUI trains, you were allowed to bring two pieces of hand luggage.

If that wasn't enough, you could take out a luggage supplement when booking your ticket. This would cost you €35 if you booked online and €45 if you sorted it out directly at the station ticket office. Try to travel light — it only has advantages: you'll have less trouble carrying your bags, and you'll also save money!

At iDTGV, tickets were checked 20 min before boarding and up to 5 min before departure! However, don't panic, as checks were done quickly, so there was no reason to be late.

You could print your ticket or show it on your phone or tablet! In this second case, always make sure you have enough battery left on your devices. It would be a shame to miss the train because of that.

Good news! A child could travel alone on IDTGV trains, but remained under their parents' responsibility. It's important that your child travels with ID and a parental authorisation if leaving the country.

Unfortunately, the "Junior et Cie" escort service was not available on iDTGV trains.

You could freely choose your preferred seat when booking with iDTGV by clicking the "train diagram" option. And if you changed your mind, it was also possible to change your choice later. This way, you were guaranteed a pleasant journey!

Want to discover new places/new cities, or simply unwind during a trip? SNCF offered the iDTGV line, connecting Paris to around fifty destinations across the country and vice versa! Note that today, iDTGV trains have been called inOui since late 2017.

Unfortunately, it's not possible to cancel your iDTGV ticket in case of unforeseen circumstances. However, you can modify your booking up to 5 hours before the train's departure. This exchange fee costs €15. And be careful: iDTGV tickets can only be exchanged for other iDTGV tickets. So it's not possible to switch from an iDTGV to an Ouigo, sorry.

There was no loyalty programme for iDTGV trains. Even the SNCF Voyageur card didn't count...
