Tickets for TGV INOUI journeys between December 13, 2026 and January 7, 2027 go on sale on September 30, 2026 at 05:45 AM (Paris time).
In the meantime, coach and carpooling journeys can already be booked for those dates.

The calendar above is not manually copied. It is produced from the sales rules used by our own booking engine — the same ones that determine, to the second, which routes are purchasable on Tictactrip.
Three practical consequences. A completed circulation period disappears from the calendar instead of staying there for years. Already-open periods remain viewable, collapsed under "Already on sale", to know until what date you can book today. And the block at the top of the page automatically switches from "next opening" to "sales are open" in the morning, without anyone having to intervene.
This is the question most people who arrive here ask themselves, and the only thing a train comparison tool cannot answer them: bus and carpooling are already bookable for those dates.
Concretely, you can secure a route starting today, then compare with the train on opening day and keep the best of the two. On routes where the TGV is saturated, the train + bus combination regularly costs half as much as a direct trip purchased late.
On tight routes, the lowest prices sell out within hours. Set your dates, departure and arrival stations and number of passengers before opening day: time saved translates to euros.
The SNCF Advantage cards give -30% and cap the price based on journey duration. They apply directly in Tictactrip search results, with no code to enter.
Most Prem's tickets are exchangeable and refundable free of charge up to seven days before departure. Buying at opening secures the price without committing to the trip.
Depending on the period that interests you: Christmas and winter ticket sales opening, or summer ticket sales opening. For general timelines company by company, outside of SNCF, see our FAQ on sales calendar.
If your search returns no trains, it's most often because sales have not yet opened for that date — not that there are no seats available.
Good news: on Tictactrip, bus and carpooling journeys are already bookable for these same dates. You can therefore secure a journey immediately, then compare with the train on opening day and keep the best option.
Major sales openings happen early in the morning, usually at 6 a.m., Paris time. The exact time appears in the calendar on this page for each upcoming opening.
On the most popular routes and towards ski resorts, the lowest prices sell out within the very first hours. If your journey is in high demand, it's better to be ready at opening rather than later in the day.
Yes, and the difference is most significant during periods of high demand: on a Paris - Côte d'Azur route on a summer Saturday, the price can double between opening and three weeks before departure.
The risk is low: most Prem's tickets remain exchangeable and refundable without fees until seven days before departure. Buying early secures the rate without locking in your trip.
Combine this with an SNCF Advantage card, which takes off an additional 30% and applies directly in search results.
Two scenarios, and this is what makes the question confusing.
For the rest of the year, TGV INOUI and INTERCITÉS tickets open on a rolling basis, approximately four months before the travel date. For a departure on June 6th, count on early February. There is no event to wait for.
For major holiday periods — Christmas, winter, spring, summer — SNCF instead opens several months of travel dates all at once, on a date announced in advance. These are the dates summarized in the calendar on this page.
SNCF releases its tickets for sale according to two distinct logics, and this is the source of most confusion.
The first is a sliding window: each day, a new travel date becomes bookable, approximately four months in advance. This is the default regime, the one that applies most of the year. There is no release date to wait for: you simply need to count.
The second concerns major holiday periods — Christmas, winter, spring, summer. There, SNCF opens several months of travel dates all at once, on a date and time announced in advance. These are the release windows that create the surge, and where the best prices are determined.
Partner companies — Eurostar, Lyria, Renfe, Trenitalia, Deutsche Bahn — follow their own calendars, generally broader: from six months to nearly a year for some international routes. A journey combining SNCF and a partner is therefore only bookable in full from the latest of the two release dates.
The calendar higher up on this page only lists fixed-date releases, grouped by release day. For the rest of the year, there is nothing to wait for: count approximately four months before the travel date.
