With Wego (yes, Ouigo of course), it's certainly cheap but you can still travel in a certain amount of comfort! Indeed, power outlets are available for an extra €2. They need to be booked on the website or on the Ouigo mobile app. Keep this in mind when booking your ticket!
On Wego (or Weego) trains, you can also go to a "quiet zone" if you want to rest a bit or work! This will cost you €5 per person per journey and must be booked when purchasing your Wego ticket...
On the other hand, don't expect to find a bar car on Weego trains, or Wi-Fi... Yes, that's also part of the charm of low-cost TGVs!
On the plus side, every traveller is checked by Wego staff before boarding the train... No more fare dodging!
With the Wego company (it's Ouigo actually, we think you've got it by now) you can indeed bring your luggage with you. However, there are a few rules to follow, otherwise it wouldn't be fun...
You can therefore bring either two hand luggage items or one hand luggage item and one cabin bag. You'll need to book a luggage supplement for €5 if you want to board a Weego train with your big suitcase and all your belongings!
If you're travelling with a child, you can bring a pushchair free of charge, great news for all families wanting to travel with Wego at a low price.
Note that bikes and scooters are also allowed on board Weego trains. However, like pushchairs, they must be folded for everyone's comfort...
There are indeed several loyalty programmes at SNCF, but Wego journeys are not currently included in this programme. Don't worry, remember that Weego low-cost trains really are very cheap!
Weego trains carry more passengers than regular trains, so it takes longer to board. Meeting time is therefore always set 30 minutes before the train departs. This is the time needed for checks and passenger boarding.
Please note, access to the Wego train will be refused 5 minutes before departure (not 2 minutes before departure as with TGV Inoui). Don't be late!
If you need more information, you can check the Wego FAQ and send a quick email to customer service if you still have questions. You'll get an answer as soon as possible.
Everything is digital with Ouigo (Wego or Weego as some still write it)! You can book your Wego ticket on Ouigo.com. It's quick and rather handy, seeing as we always have our phone in hand!
Well, sorry if you're not very comfortable with 2.0 technology, but it's not yet possible to buy Wego tickets at the station or in a travel agency... You can always ask someone close to you to help, it's super quick!
Good news for people with reduced mobility who want to travel with Weego: you can use the Acces+ service, which lets you be welcomed at the station and accompanied to your seat on the train! To do this, you need to fill in the contact form as soon as possible after booking your Wego ticket, at least 48 hours before departure.
You can also find the form to fill in to request Accès+ at this address.
With Wego, it's not possible to get a refund if you cancel your ticket! So pay close attention when booking. Still, given the very low prices of Weego tickets, you won't lose much money if you cancel your booking!
On the other hand, you can change your booking up to 5 hours before the departure of your cheap train with Ouigo. 4h59 before is too late, watch out!
What is Wego? Actually, it's neither called Wego nor Weego but Ouigo, a low-cost train service offered by SNCF!
You can find low-cost TGV tickets at small prices without sacrificing much comfort. Plus, there's no first or second class, everyone is treated equally, well, in the same carriage!
Watch out, a single class doesn't necessarily mean a single price! Planning ahead is key here: it's best to book in advance to avoid paying the maximum price of €115!
Finally, one last piece of important info about tickets: you can print your ticket or keep it in electronic form on your computer, tablet, or smartphone. These last three options are also more environmentally friendly, and are therefore approved and recommended by Tictactrip! 😉
If you can't do without Poppy or Felix, know that your favorite pet can travel with you on Wego trains!
If it weighs less than 6 kg, it can travel for free in a carrier that counts as one of your two allowed pieces of luggage. And if your pet weighs more than 6 kg, it will need its own train ticket, which you can buy when booking your Weego train.
A minor can travel alone with Wego, Weego, or Ouigo. However, they will have to pay the price of an adult ticket. But once again, with Wego, you'll find tickets at very reduced prices!
It's important to remember that a child travelling alone remains the responsibility of their parents. SNCF Mobilités still recommends not letting your child travel alone but having them accompanied. You're never safe from a delay or some other issue... ;)
Wego (actually Ouigo) guarantees you a seat (fortunately, since more than 3 hours for a Paris-Bordeaux trip can be long standing up or sitting in the aisle). Unfortunately, though, you can't choose your seat when booking a Wego ticket. If you end up next to the aisle, that's just luck...
On the other hand, if you're planning to travel as a group and buy all the tickets at the same time, SNCF will try to seat you all together. So don't hesitate to plan on buying your tickets all at once!
Feel like taking a short trip to the East and discovering the city of Nancy? With Wego (yes, it's Ouigo, we know), you can get there at a very low price! No kidding, you can find tickets from €10!
What to see in Nancy? Don't miss the city centre and the famous Place Stanislas. There's also the Museum of Fine Arts, which you can visit thanks to the money you saved on your Weego ticket!
What's more, Nancy is bordered by a large park: the Parc de la Pépinière, perfect for a stroll, especially on sunny days! The Parc Sainte Marie is also very pretty, worth visiting before catching your Wego train again!
Feel like a weekend getaway? Take a cheap train (a low-cost TGV, as a reminder) to Lyon with Weego (or rather Ouigo) from €10! Hard to beat that...
Must-sees during your stay thanks to Wego: Vieux-Lyon for a lovely stroll, or the Presqu'Île! Especially since the food in Lyon is excellent, so you'll probably want a nice walk to help digest.
Otherwise, if you want to get some height, you can head to the Basilique de Fourvière, which offers a breathtaking view over the city! Before catching your Weego train again, head to the Parc de la Tête d'Or, a magnificent green space to visit...
With Weego (yes, it's Ouigo, of course), you can discover Nantes at a low price... from €10, actually! What's more, the Cité des Ducs is only two hours from Paris... So go for it, what are you waiting for?
What to do in Nantes thanks to Wego? The Machines de l'Île are super original! For example, we bet you've never seen a giant steel elephant. But in Nantes, you'll see one strolling through the streets, blowing water in your face! ;)
There's more than just elephants in Nantes! There's also Place Royale and its many bars, the Château des Ducs de Bretagne, and above all the Tour de Bretagne! The view from up there is AB-SO-LUTELY STUNNING... :)

In truth, the term Wego, as well as the term Weego, is a misnomer. It's sometimes used by people who actually mean Ouigo, the low cost trains from SNCF!
Wego (or rather Ouigo) is a service launched by SNCF in 2013 and still running today. It offers low-cost trips within France (not in Azerbaijan) modelled on the airline approach: low price but reduced service. The average price of a Weego ticket is €25. And what's more, its trains now serve more and more cities, such as Rennes, Lille, Nancy, Nantes, Aix-en-Provence and of course Paris.
Since late 2018, Weego trains (actually Ouigo) have also been accessible from the Paris stations of Paris-Gare de Lyon, Paris-Gare de l'Est and Paris-Montparnasse! This means that thanks to Weego, you can reach even more destinations cheaply! So it's now possible to travel Paris-Marseille, Paris-Nice or Paris-Toulouse at a low price with Wego.
Of course, Wego trains are low-cost trains, meaning very low prices but also somewhat more limited onboard services. However, unlike Flixtrain trains, the Wego company uses TGVs to transport its passengers! Travelling by low-cost TGV, what a great idea!
Next step for Weego (sorry, Wego, sorry again, Ouigo): connecting France with new destinations! Paris-Nimes or Paris-Montpellier routes are planned for the end of the year, so you can spend your Christmas Eve on the sand or with your feet in the water!
Don't hesitate to search for and compare the best Weego routes on Tictactrip, you're sure to find the trip that suits you at very low prices!
