Alsa Bus for your trips in France and Spain

First of all, Alsa has a loyalty program called Alsaplus!

The idea? As you travel, you earn points that can be exchanged for a discount on a trip. The Alsaplus card also gives you access to other quite interesting perks.

Otherwise, Alsa also thinks of smaller budgets and offers particularly interesting promotions for young people aged 12 to 25, people over 60, groups and businesses.

And finally, unfortunately, there's no Alsa bus promo code as such... But don't hesitate to take advantage of the preferential Alsa rates mentioned above!

Not sure whether to book your trip with Alsa bus or Eurolines bus? Here are a few points of comparison between these two European coach companies.

Needless to remind you that it's more important to focus on the details of your bus journey than on the transport company taking you there. Indeed, the services offered are actually quite similar.

So, what's your choice? When it comes to comfort, these two companies are pretty much on par, so you won't really be able to choose between them, unless you've had a better experience with one or the other in the past.

You can buy your Alsa bus ticket:

• at the counter near the buses, often at the station and subject to availability.
• Online via the Alsa website.

Alsa Bus cancellation is possible up to 2 hours before departure.

However, Alsa will deduct 30% for this cancellation, or 20% if made between 24 and 48h before departure.

For exchanging Alsa tickets, the process is the same if you bought a "domestic" Alsa ticket: it's best to do it 48h in advance to get a full refund!

On board Alsa buses, pets are accepted provided their weight does not exceed 10 kg. In addition, you may only bring one pet per passenger on an Alsa bus.

By pet, Alsa means: dogs, cats, ferrets, birds, etc... However, your little companion must travel in the hold in an approved, closed and waterproof carrier ... At least it can go on holiday too!

Otherwise, guide dogs are allowed free of charge on board Alsa buses. That's only fair!

On some Alsa destinations, you can choose your seat from the Alsa website or directly at a point of sale, all at no extra cost.

Of course, the earlier you book, the more seats will be available, and the better your chances of getting a window seat!

Please note that some Alsa buses don't offer this option, which is why you should arrive early enough. :)

Safety on Alsa buses is excellent! Unlike other bus companies, there have been very few Alsa Bus accidents. You could count them on one hand.

What's more, Alsa seats are comfortable and there's legroom! (Yes, really, hard to believe but true!!)

On board Alsa buses, you'll also have access to:

• the radio,
• movies and series,
• Alsa Wi-Fi
• and even snacks available on board

In other words, the services offered on board Alsa buses are really excellent and will make for a pleasant journey!

ALSA offers several types of tickets, with several service ranges:

• the Alsa Premium ticket, offering better seat comfort, access to movies and series, and Wi-Fi.

  Note, however, that these buses are only available on certain Alsa routes and lines.

• the Alsa Supra ticket, which also offers exceptional comfort, with Alsa bus Wi-Fi, a VIP area to wait for the bus comfortably, a more comfortable seat, and a channel for audiovisual content.
• the Alsa Eurobus ticket, offering the same services as Alsa Supra tickets, but only to certain Spanish destinations.
• the Alsa Economy ticket includes magazines, headphones, and Alsa Wi-Fi access. It's the same service as Supra class at a reduced rate.
• Finally, the classic Alsa ticket, which still offers Wi-Fi, toilets, and audiovisual content on board.

To choose the ticket that suits you, consider your needs and whether your trip is long or short! :)

The Alsa company is clear: children under 4 must travel accompanied by an adult.

However, from age 4, it's possible for a child to travel alone with Alsa, under certain conditions. Alsa takes responsibility for transporting unaccompanied minors if their parents book an Alsa Supra Plus or Alsa Premium ticket.

Otherwise, unaccompanied children aged 4 to 12 must show a written authorization signed by their parents before boarding Alsa buses.

In addition, discounted Alsa children's tickets are available for children under 11. Pretty cool, right? :)

Boarding an Alsa bus is simple: you need your Alsa booking number and the SMS containing your Alsa trip details.

Of course, you must have an Alsa ticket, either printed or collected directly from a point of sale at purchase. Today, of course, you can also get your e-ticket directly online on your smartphone.

An ID card or passport is required to travel aboard Alsa buses.

From Spain, also make sure to arrive at least 30 minutes before your Alsa coach's departure time. For other destinations, plan to arrive at least 2 hours early. It would be a shame to miss your bus!

Let's talk travel, let's talk luggage!

Because as we know, everything is cheaper in Spain. It's the perfect chance to raid your favorite clothing shops and bring back some chorizo!

Note that Alsa buses don't only travel to Spain. Either way, with Alsa you can carry up to 30kg of luggage for free. With Alsa international luggage, it's 25kg, with no size limit.

Bike, surf, or ski fan?

Your skis, boards, and bikes can travel aboard Alsa buses without any problem! However, a small surcharge applies (€5 for short trips and €10 for long trips) and certain guidelines must be followed.
